Following a powerful February storm, Mammoth Mountain emerged from the night beneath a clear winter sky. As the first light of sunrise reached the summit, the fresh snow reflected shades of pink, orange, and gold across the upper mountain while the forests below remained in the cool blue tones of dawn.
From this vantage of the front side of Mammoth Mountain, Chair 9 and the dragons back lead you towards the summit. After days of wind, snowfall, and cloud cover, the transformation felt dramatic. For a few brief moments, the mountain seemed to glow from within.
