Artist Proof
Created alongside each limited edition, Artist Proofs are held primarily in Blake’s personal archive and occasionally presented in select gallery exhibitions. Typically limited to just five proofs per image, they represent the pinnacle of rarity within Blake’s body of work.
Artist Proofs are rarely released and are offered discreetly to collectors on a case-by-case basis. Their scarcity and close connection to the artist make them among the most desirable works Blake offers.
Each Artist Proof may be created in any standard dimension, with Blake collaborating directly with the collector on a custom presentation reserved for this tier.
Utah, 2021
During a rainy autumn afternoon in Utah's mountains, I found myself surrounded by endless hillsides of aspen trees fading into low clouds and fog. The contrast between the brilliant white trunks and the rich colors of the forest immediately caught my attention.
I was drawn to the deep reds hidden throughout the forest. Emphasizing those tones allowed me to better convey the atmosphere I experienced that day, where layers of color, fog, and white aspens seemed to blend together across the mountainside.
For me this image is a celebration of autumn's fleeting beauty and the quiet mood that settles across the mountains as the seasons begin to change.
