When Blake creates a limited edition, he holds back the first ten numbered works, editions 1 through 10, to be released later as part of his Collector’s Reserve. Offered only as an edition reaches its final tier, these low-numbered works offer collectors a special opportunity to acquire some of the most sought-after images of Blake’s career.

Autumn is the most beautiful time of the year to be in the Sierra and it’s no secret that Convict Lake is one of the most stunning displays of fall colors around. In my search to capture all the moods of this lake, it’s no wonder that I would have this time of the year at the top of my list. After studying the light and shooting here for the entire month of October I was able to come up with what I was looking for one crisp and breezy afternoon. The perfect Autumn days were starting to mix with early Winter storms and cooler weather was just starting to blow in. Fresh snowfall dotted the summits of the mountains and the yellows and oranges were at full peak. I decided it was the perfect timing and made my shot. Convict Lake is such an important place for me which is why photographically, I’m so critical of my work here. Every time I come here I’m reminded of my childhood days camping and fishing along the shoreline. It’s a place I just love to sit and watch as the weather changes and the storms roll in. I believe I have perfectly captured the essence of Autumn in this image.
