On these warm summer days in Southern California, my favorite way to cool off is to head down to the beach, jump in the water and enjoy the sunset. Windansea in La Jolla is one of the classic spots in SoCal surf culture. I grew up surfing in San Diego’s North County so for me it was always a special trip to go down with family and friends to surf Windansea. Today it hasn’t changed a bit with it’s tiny parking lot, old surfers hut and the unique rocks that make this reef such a great wave and a beautiful place that draws so many people in. Enjoy this image and I hope when you view this piece, you too can feel the warmth of this summer sunset and taste the salty coastal air.
