Fissure #8, the most destructive of 24 vents that opened in the residential subdivision of the Leilani Estates, vigorously erupting over 300ft high. Photographed out the window of a lightweight airplane, Blake could feel the heat & smell the thick sulfur gas in the cabin during his many scary & turbulent flights to document this historic eruption.
