In February of 2022, Blake DeBock officially opened the doors to his first gallery in The Village at Mammoth Lakes, California. The opening coincided with DeBock’s 27th birthday, marking a major milestone in his career and establishing a flagship gallery for his work in the Eastern Sierra.
DeBock’s photography is rooted in a lifelong connection to the Sierra Nevada. Influenced by Ansel Adams’ striking black and white work and Galen Rowell’s mastery of color, timing, and high-elevation light, his images combine classic Sierra tradition with modern scale. His work is shaped by time in the field, physical commitment, and an obsession with timing, capturing the landscape when weather and light push it to its most dramatic.
